Have you taken “Mosaic Paintings of the Desert?” Do you feel ready to create a mosaic from one of your own nature photos? In this advanced class, you create an 8x10” mosaic with your own photo, using the double-direct method and specialized glass cutting techniques. Before the first session, the instructor will send guidance on selecting and preparing your photo. Then, in the first session, you will calculate how much of each color of glass you need to purchase for your project. Because each photo is unique, STUDENTS PURCHASE THEIR OWN ART GLASS. All other materials, tools, and safety equipment are provided. No open-toed shoes or open beverage containers. Note, too, that glass cutting and nipping requires considerable hand strength. Aprons are recommended. Students must use their own photos, copyright-free ones, or have written permission to use someone else’s.
