Backgrounds are tricky—because they can enhance the subject of a composition—or they can quickly send it into total oblivion. Why risk it? Learn how to develop subtle backgrounds that enhance your subject without stifling it. Choose from a variety of dry and wet mediums and experiment with an assortment of methods that will consistently reinforce your subject without overshadowing it.
