Everyone loves color, but how many people really understand how it works? Through a series of interactive lectures, fascinating experiments, and simple exercises, artists of all skill levels will leave with a new understanding of the fundamentals of color that they can apply to their own artwork. This class will go well beyond the familiar color wheel, demystifying how we perceive color, how colors interact with each other, and how to use them to maximum effectiveness in painting. Touching on Physics, Psychology, and Aesthetics, this course will teach you the "rules" of color — and how to break them.
