Humans have terrific color vision. Unlike many mammals, we can see millions of colors. With so many choices, picking which one to use in your art can be a challenge. Color theory provides a framework for making smart choices. In this course, we will dive into the basics of color theory, why we see what we see, and how color can help us tell the stories we want to share. Through a series of exercises, we’ll explore the dynamics of hue, saturation and value, gain insights into harmonies, and investigate how master colorists have employed color to great effect. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to choose colors for your palette with flying colors. All Levels Welcome.
