Polymer clay is so versatile it's been called the chameleon clay. We'll explore different techniques—moving from simple to more complex—each used to create a fanciful feather. We will cover color selection and mixing, design concepts, caning (also used in millefiori glass), metal-work-inspired mokume gane, baking the clay, and more. The instructor will give you ideas of how to use the feathers you've created. Geared towards those with some polymer clay experience, all levels are welcome. Beginners can get up to speed quickly with online resources to be sent out before the first class. Tools and materials will be provided.
