We are surrounded by patterns in the natural world and in art created by people. We'll look at patterns from two time periods spanning thousands of years and two artists from different centuries. The first two classes (full days)include in-depth information, studying pattern images, exploring related links and discussing possible projects using patterns in the 21st century. During the following days and classes, students will have time to plan, collect supplies and develop their patterned project. No art experience is necessary.
