Fascinating, faceted rocks! Gain expertise in depicting varied Sonoran Desert rocks using watercolor and dry color media. It is all about textures in light and shadow! We’ll paint specimens both in the classroom and in the Art Institute Rock Garden, learning techniques and creative shortcuts to interpret the colors, planar surfaces, textures and shapes of varied rocks commonly found in our desert. This new workshop series presents varied landscape scenarios to offer you studio or plein air painting readiness and experience!
Prerequisite: Pencil 1 or equivalent and some previous experience in watercolor
