Light on Form: Capturing Light

"Acquire confidence capturing values that create the illusion of 3D form using a variety of media, beginning with black and white, then transitioning into color. Explore still life, plants, and landscape through a series of drawing and water based painting exercises as we learn to capture accurate light and shadow in our work. This class will increase the ability to see and render varied qualities of light, from direct sunlight to subtle contrasts of light and shadow: an ultimate goal for artists of all skill levels who love to paint or draw in any medium. Prerequisite: Drawing 1 or equivalent
