Whether you are a dedicated beginner or advanced artist, this three-day studio workshop will help you hone your drawing and painting skills. Among the biggest challenges for any representational artist is making their subjects look not just accurate, but real, and much of this comes down to a thorough understanding of cast shadows, form shadows, and reflected light. Using both dry and wet media, Andrew Denman will guide you through a series of exercises, rendering basic shapes and natural found objects from life, and working from photographs, to demystify how light interacts with form to create convincing three-dimensional effects.
