"Add pizzazz to your bookmaking, backgrounds, mixed media projects, or gift giving. Learn the ancient art of marbling. Early marbled papers were used for decorative backgrounds, and became an essential part of bookbinding. Modern marbling is a fun art, with infinite patterns and color combinations to be used for marbled papers, fabrics, and just about anything. Suminagashi is the traditional art of Japanese marbling. In this class we will create beautiful patterns on paper and other surfaces by floating inks or marbling paints on a liquid medium transferring them to paper or objects. We will be focusing on learning practical skills and hands-on experience. "
