This is a fun introductory course to the art of scratchboard. You will learn to use a variety of tools, as well as a step-by-step approach to starting a scratchboard project in a stress-free atmosphere. If you like to draw, particularly detailed subjects, this is the class for you. With an emphasis on contour drawing, the instructor will demonstrate the many types of strokes used to create fur, feathers, landscapes and more. Watercolor will be introduced for those who wish to colorize their scratchboard drawings. Some drawing experience is helpful, but not essential. Bring a photo of your choice, or use instructor’s personal library of images.
