Chrome is a fascinating subject and the process to create a drawing that looks like chrome is different than any other. The challenge is evaluating & replicating the shapes that fit together to give the illusion of the chrome surface. Ann uses a layered stippling technique to create the values of smooth surfaces. It's a method that seems to be quite unique that involves scratching, then stippling with ink (in a technical pen), scratching again, stippling again, etc. until the value(s) need are achived. You will learn this technique and an understanding of the concepts of value & contrast as they apply to this subject matter. Composition, use of negative space, and other drawing concepts will also be discussed.
