Never drawn or painted outdoors? In this one day introductory workshop, we will create en plein aire… a French term for in the open air. Gain skills in translating the larger shapes of landscape into exciting compositions and experiment with the interplay and balance of the light and color of our beautiful desert. Have fun experimenting with a range of drawing tools and media both dry and wet, getting inspired by the dramatic light and color of our desert landscape. Learn how wonderful the experience of working outdoors can be as we learn to capture quick dynamic studies of nature with fresh and brilliant results. No Prerequisite. “Landscape Prep Series” students are welcome to join us for individualized attention and painting fun outside
