Chinese painting is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. Traditional Chinese painting essentially involves the same techniques as calligraphy and is done with a brush dipped in ink or colored pigment. The peony flower is one of the most popular themes in Chinese painting, as the Chinese believe peony brings wealth and prosperity. In this workshop, you will paint peony flowers and learn a brush technique that paints the gradually changing color with one stroke.
