The “Old Masters” and many of the modern masters of acrylics, oil, and watercolor use an underpainting as one of the layers of their work. Artists’ who use an underpainting know that it helps create more depth, and builds rich, luminous color. Even though the mediums are a little different, the principle is the same. This class will address the different layers of a painting, the techniques in the medium you choose, and help you learn to paint like a master.
