Covering slightly different areas than Ned’s previous workshops, while keeping the core principles as a basis. Participants will work on painting the varieties and subtleties of animals and their habitats. There will be high emphasis on demos, discussions and critiques. Ned will demonstrate effective techniques for depicting fur and feathers while creating the illusion of form and solidity. Drawing, composition, color, rendering light, materials, painting techniques and the benefits and setbacks of photography in animal art will also be covered.
