Brian Lamprell trained as an architect in England and has practiced in London, New York, Park City and San Francisco.

 

During his extensive travels across the United States, he settled in California and became enchanted with its extraordinary light and beauty.

 

For the last thirty years he has been drawing landscapes and wine related views

In color pencil. His drawings are developed for site sketches whenever possible and later completed in his studio.

 

His work has been commissioned  by several departments at Stanford University, San Jose State University and wineries in Napa, Sonoma, Oregon and France.

 

He has taught at The San Francisco Academy of Art University and  has conducted color pencil workshops in the Bay Area.

 

He has recently relocated to Tucson from Menlo Park, California.
