Residency includes paid domestic travel, a $750 stipend, accommodations for two, exhibition space during your term to display work you bring or make, and a 1-month All-Access Membership for 2 ($100 value).

How to Apply

Upload resume, letter of interest, teaching example, and portfolio items to a Google Drive or Dropbox folder and email link to arts@desertmuseum.org.

  • Resume: A  resume or C.V. highlighting academic, professional, and other relevant experience. Include links to website and social media (2-page maximum).

​

  • Letter of Interest: In 250 words or less, explain how your artistic process complements our mission and what you hope to achieve in your month here.

​

  • Proposal/example of engagement activity: In 500 words or less, share ideas for what you might do for a 1-day workshop related to this residency and share one example of something you have done in a teaching capacity.

​

  • Portfolio: 5 jpegs of your artwork. 2 images showing a teaching activity that you led.

Finalists will be interviewed by Zoom. Applicants will be notified of their status as soon as adjudication is complete, approximately one month following the submission period.
