This basic colored pencil class is an introductory course designed to familiarize beginners with the medium and its fundamental techniques, enabling them to create rich, professional-looking artwork. Understanding the difference between student and professional-grade pencils, choosing appropriate paper with texture, and using essential tools like sharpeners, erasers, and solvents.
 
Practicing fundamental application methods, learning to vary pencil pressure to create different values and smooth tonal gradations, mastering the most fundamental colored pencil techniques to create depth and exciting color.
