This young Coopers Hawk ate one of his first kills on my back cinderblock wall.  Over the hour or so he was there enjoying his self-reliance and independence, I took several photos.  It was fascinating to watch him stretch and pull, pluck out feathers and vigilantly guard his prize.  But to create a work of art, he needed to be put in a new setting.  I had other photo reference from Utah of some great rustic fence posts with barbed wire that placed him into a more natural environment which created the feeling I wanted to convey.
