Animal Sketching: Focus on Birds

Learn to sketch desert birds from photos and life using pencil, pen and ink and color! No, they don’t stay still for long! Practice quick gestural sketches and memory drawings to discover how to catch the pose and energy of the bird...before it flies away! We will begin by blocking in basic, overlapping geometric shapes to establish correct proportions as we focus on capturing posture. Acquire the skills to use light, loose lines as you compare the proportions of the head-to-body ratio, the angle of the beak and the bird’s center of gravity. Imagine a whole day of creatively focusing on desert birds!  Birds are such bundles of joy! 
Prerequisite: Drawing 1 or equivalent.
