Discover how to ""paint with fabric"" as you create a unique art quilt wall hanging! Using a photograph of a single subject (bring your own or choose from photos provided), you'll transform fabric scraps into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Working with fabric scraps, scissors, pins, and glue, you'll cut and layer fabrics using your photo as a reference. Your finished piece can be realistic—or completely imaginative! Along the way, you'll learn a variety of techniques, including fabric fusing and printing images onto fabric with a standard printer. On the second day, you'll continue your project and learn the basics of using a sewing machine. Sewing machines will be provided, and you'll be guided through threading and operating the machine as you complete the next steps of your quilt. No previous sewing or fabric experience is required. Beginners will learn new skills in a relaxed, supportive environment, while experienced makers can enjoy the creative freedom of this fun, "no-rules" approach to fabric art.
Well...maybe one rule: no running with scissors!
