Experience a fresh approach to drawing on translucent Dura-Lar, an innovative film that opens new creative possibilities for artists of every skill level. This durable, archival surface readily accepts colored pencil, graphite, ink, and charcoal, while erasing cleanly, making it ideal for both careful observation and creative exploration. Students will learn techniques for layering rich color, creating luminous effects, and building depth through the unique transparency of the material. Discover how to transfer drawings, experiment with overlays, and combine media to produce vibrant works inspired by the beauty of the Sonoran Desert.  Whether you’re new to colored pencil or looking for an exciting new surface to expand your artistic practice, this class will introduce you to the versatility of Dura-Lar for drawing, illustration, and mixed media while strengthening your observational skills in a supportive, nature-inspired environment.
