Tunnel books are immersive, layered, cut-out panels that create an optical illusion of depth. It is a “book” and a diorama rolled into one!  With historical precedence dating back to the mid-18th century, this book form was inspired by theatrical tableaus. Adding “desert critters" involves placing our drawn birds, animals, or insects throughout the tunnel layers to bring the miniature dioramas and stories to life!  Experiment with assembling layered, whimsical creations as we focus on layout, perspective, and collage techniques to build dimensional scenes.  A unique new class that will be great fun!
