Discover how enjoyable oil painting can be—without the toxic odors or messy cleanup. Why choose oils? Their rich luminosity and depth of color simply can't be matched by acrylics. With the right additives, oils can dry quickly for layering or remain workable longer for smooth blending, giving you complete control over your painting process. Designed for beginning and intermediate artists, this class covers color mixing, the use of painting mediums and additives, five different approaches to starting a painting, and many other essential techniques to build confidence and creativity.
Bring your own reference photo or choose from a variety of inspiring images provided by the instructor, including beaches, mountains, desert landscapes, Monet's Giverny, Ireland, and charming old-world European cities.
